Importance of Elementary PEElementary PE is the foundation for students to learn proper motor movements, behavior skills, and knowledge to build upon. Students should use activity to build movement patterns, the innate ability to cooperate with classmates, and skills to apply knowledge to activities they are participating in. A physical education program will only be as good as its elementary program. The foundation for great secondary programs is built at the elementary level.

Our GoalOur goal in our elementary physical education classroom is to provide the best learning experience for our students. By the end of our program, our elementary school students will be able to demonstrate mature movement patterns, display proper behavior and social skills, and will have developed the basis for a lifetime of physical fitness.

Management and Behavior
ManagementOur students will be monitored closely by our physical education coaches. Our gyms/classrooms will be structured with the safety to ensure an adequate learning environment for our students. As coaches, we will manage our students in the best and most current ways possible to properly teach our students. As elementary coaches, management is a crucial aspect to our day to day routines. We will properly demonstrate the correct management practices to make sure that our students are gaining the knowledge that they deserve.

BehaviorAs elementary physical education coaches, we will strive daily to promote the proper behavior skills and techniques. Our students will learn that proper behavior skills will be required in order to complete the activities that are assigned. Failure to comply with our behavior expectations will be met with the Cherokee County Board of Education student handbook and policies.
